Characteristics
SanJordi is the most commercially and industrially developed area, the ring roads and access to the airport makes it an easy distribution point. The village has gyms, supermarkets, shops, one of the most well preserved churches from the 15th Century and restaurants galore. However, due to its commercial development it feels more like a city than a rural Ibiza village.
Its distinctive feature is an old racetrack which transforms into a local flea market every Saturday, where all you need to do is bring your items and make a market stall out of the boot of your car. It’s very common on the island to sell your second hand items, purchase secondhand and upcycle items such as clothes and furniture. This promotes a sense of sustainability and the ability to buy from and support your local community. You can expect to find things such as antiques, plants, art, clothing, furniture and soft furnishings.
Beaches
San Jordi has easy access to Ses Salines beach which gives you a feeling of being on a different planet. As you drive to the beach you will see the Ibiza Salt farms of Ses Salines. Occasionally on your way there, you will see lustrous pink flamingos, adding to the magical scenery.
Personal favourites
Our favourite local picnic spot at Sa Trinxa which has a local vibe, local DJs spinning the classics and Beach service, where you can enjoy yourself all day and indulge in a surreal sunset which is an unmissable spectacle. If you love to hike or enjoy a run you can walk past Sa Trinxa beyond where the sand ends and into the pine forest which rises up into a beautiful cliff, keep following the path until you reach the watchtower which stands incognito observing 360 degree panorama.

Town Hall
San Jordi is part of the municipality of Ibiza. You would go to Ibiza Town Hall if you want to request the Referencia Catastral as well as pay your taxes, apply for a remodelling, construction licences, pool licence or a cistern licence.
